Those who paved the way
As we honor the achievements and contributions of women around the world this month, I reflect on the pivotal role my parents played in shaping my journey. From instilling a strong work ethic to fostering resilience and determination, their guidance has been instrumental in my professional and personal growth.
Growing up, I was "highly encouraged" by my parents to take on challenges and pursue my passions. This ethos led me to my first job, throwing a paper route, where I learned the value of hard work and perseverance from a young age.
My upbringing was deeply influenced by the remarkable achievements of my parents. My mother, a trailblazer in her own right, was the first woman to graduate from her university with a degree in Information Technology. Her groundbreaking accomplishment serves as a constant reminder of the power of determination and the importance of breaking barriers.
Equally influential was my father, my biggest fan and cheerleader. His unwavering support and belief in my abilities have fueled my ambition and propelled me forward, even in the face of adversity.
Throughout my career journey, I've been fortunate to have the guidance of exceptional mentors who have provided invaluable insights and support. Their mentorship, combined with the close relationship and guidance from my parents, has helped shape me into the leader I am today.
As I proudly serve as the VP of Sales, for GTS Technology Solutions I carry with me the lessons learned from my parents and mentors. Their belief in me has empowered me to pursue my goals relentlessly and strive for excellence in everything I do.
This International Women's Month, let us celebrate the remarkable women who have paved the way for future generations and acknowledge the importance of strong support systems in achieving success. Together, we can continue to break barriers and inspire positive change. #InternationalWomensMonth #Empowerment #Leadership #Mentorship
