Work Ethic. Courage. Resilient. Empathetic.

These four qualities are the core ingredients of FIERCE.  You do not need to have all four but you do have to have a minimum of one and the more the better.  In over twenty years of extreme living these are the common traits that we have seen empower women to bring dramatic and lasting positive change on their families, friends, colleagues, and communities.  We believe these are all able to be learned and that the best way to learn them is through practice.

If you visualize these four traits as rings of a circle the layers from the outside in are:  work ethic, courage, resilience, and empathy.

We will explore each of these traits in detail via stories about “Everyday Superheroes.”  If you’d like to nominate a woman in your network, please contact us immediately as we’d love to recognize her.

These traits serve us every day and they reinforce each other.  In our experience, there is a multiplier effect when two or more of these traits are combined resulting in superior performance, results, returns and recognition.

  • Work Ethic – a belief that work and diligence have a moral benefit and an inherent ability, virtue or value to strengthen character and individual abilities.

  • Courage – the quality of mind or spirit that enables a person to face difficulty, danger, pain without fear; to have the courage of one’s convictions, to act in accordance with one’s beliefs, especially in spite of criticism.

  • Resilient – the ability to withstand adversity and bounce back from difficult life events.

  • Empathetic – the capacity to understand or feel what another person is experiencing from within their frame of reference, that is, the capacity to place oneself in another’s position.
