You Are The Candy

I heard a story about Ava DuVernay, writer, producer, director, and just all around FIERCE filmmaker. The story was about her deal with Netflix. People were commenting about how much “candy” Netflix had to dangle in front of Ava to get her to sign the deal. Her response to this chatter, “no, I’m the candy”. This is the value of FIERCE. FIERCE women know their worth. FIERCE women know the value we bring to any role, to any company, to any environment. FIERCE women bring empathy, energy, and the ability to see the world through a unique lense. Moving forward, let that be your mantra. I am the candy. Then get out there and be FIERCE.
