The Queen, per usual, slays the moment for so many of us.  COVID was life altering for everyone.  It was especially damaging to women who had to take care of ill parents and become full-time teachers overnight.  The numbers are staggering – over five million jobs lost for women and over one million women opting out of the workforce and still not back in June of 2022.  I don’t think these women are home wallowing in self-pity.  They Got Motivation, found a new foundation are taking salvation and building new foundations and we are here for it.

The Four Foundations are FIERCE are in full effect in Bey’s new song and across the globe – women are hustling, demonstrating courage, resilience and empathy to drive their success on their terms. According to whattobecome.com:

• 17% of Black women started businesses in 2021 vs. 10% for White women and 15% for white men.*

• Female entrepreneurship stands at 16.6% for working age women up from 10.7% in 2018.*

• Women represent 50% of entrepreneurs in Latin America and the Caribbean.*

• Let’s get it ladies.

Women living their lives on their terms.  Women making conscious trade-offs for time, money, family, themselves is a key to our collective future.  The minute we are authentic, prioritize ourselves and rely on each other to support one another is the time when real breakthroughs will happen for us, our friends, our daughters, our wives and society.  Beyonce dropping this song is her way of saying, I see you.  Keep doing what you’re doing and be bold, loud and unapologetic.

She is a hall-of-fame FIERCE woman.
